January 23rd Bike Sweat

One of the first thoughts in my head after last week’s Hill Climb ride was, “Damn, I’m psyched for Montebello”.

The Montebello sprints will be a new endeavor for us. There was a lot of back and forth thinking between John, Mojo and myself to design the ride. Then, it took us a little while of testing on the bikes to tweak the idea. What came out was more fun and more effective than I expected. There are a couple of simple rules we’ll have to adhere to for the game to work. John, Mojo and I will explain at the start of the night.

What you gotta do:

  • We’ll start rolling at 7PM. Be at the south lot at 6:50PM (map)
  • It’s dark. Have decent lighting.
  • You can participate with any bike, BUT you’ll have more fun on a road-style bike.
  • You will need good reflexes on this ride. Please, save the boozing for afterwards.

Questions? John, Mojo, did I miss anything?

25deg. at 4:45PM. My AM commute was a chilly one for sure, BUT with some warm mittens, booties, and a balaclava you’ll manage to last an hour+. We’ll be sweating soon enough tonight.
